It’s a grey, windy Saturday, the city is empty and it’s frankly hard to shake the melancholy-ness of it all given the news. As I make my way through empty streets I tried to focus on the memories of good times had here and there, knowing we will be together and celebrate on the outside again soon, if we just do this ONE thing right now for the safety of everyone. While we’re being asked to limit our movement, let us remember that connection with others is still vitally important, perhaps more now that fear has infiltrated our daily lives. Humans need others to help us remain calm and assured, not to mention cared for, loved. A lot of people will struggle being alone, especially those who live alone already. Reach out to someone you know through good ol’ fashioned phone and email. Or put pen to paper and send a handwritten letter (you’ve got all this time to practice your cursive again). Let’s spread ✨ joy, let’s make each other smile and laugh. (I personally am loving @weratedogs for my pandemic therapy. 🐶 Can’t thank you enough.) Get creative. Get moving. Find a video that inspires you to dance or exercise. Keep your head up and your hand off the panic button. We are going to grow through this. It may not be easy but it’s a small sacrifice. And with the right attitude we can make the change a positive one. Stay safe people. ❤️❤️❤️
